Poult Wood to host second Southern Disability Open

Following the launch of the very successful Southern Disability Open (SDO) in 2017, tmactive in conjunction with Kent Golf and the Disabled Golf Association (DGA), is pleased to be hosting the second Southern Disability Open at Poult Wood Golf Course on Saturday 9 June. The Competition is open to both men and women played to the modified rules of golf published by the R&A. Taking place on the 18 Hole Course, competitors are assured of a welcoming and enjoyable event at an accessible and friendly facility. See Conditions of Competition here.

“We are very pleased to be hosting the Southern Disability Open for a second time and look forward to welcoming golfers to the course,” said Martin Guyton, Chief Executive of tmactive.

Jamie Blair, England Golf Disability Manager said, “England Golf, working with our County and Club partners, want to provide events for disabled players within our game. I am delighted to see Kent Golf with Poult Wood and the DGA host the Southern Disability Open for a second time, creating a golf event for disabled players within the county of Kent and in the South East. The SDO provides a great opportunity for disabled players to compete and provides an opportunity for new players getting into golf, through the work of clubs across the county, to put their skills in practice."

The entry deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 6 June 2018 and is limited to a maximum of 40 with competitors accepted on a first come first served basis. Download an entry form here.
